Dutchess Community College student-athletes must comply with all NJCAA, Mid-Hudson Conference, Region 15, and DCC eligibility rules and regulations. Any prospective student athlete (new or returning) who is interested in participating in a varsity sport must complete the following steps in order to be cleared to try-out or practice:
1) Complete Physical Form
All student-athletes must have an up-to-date physical exam on file with the Dutchess Health Office (located in the Student Services building, room 110). Once your personal physician signs off on the form, bring the signed form to the health office. The office will then give you a clearance slip which you then hand in to the athletics office in Falcon Hall room 110. Once the athletics office has the clearance slip showing you are physically able to participate, you may then practice with the given team.
You must have a physical exam that is valid within ONE YEAR of the end of the upcoming season for which you wish to participate in. Once your physical is expired, you will NOT be able to participate in games, events, or practices until your physical on file with the health office is up-to-date.
2) Complete Mandatory Eligibility Form
