Osterhoudt's Walk-Off Gives Dutchess Community College Victory Over Suffolk
Dutchess Community College took the game in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off double from outfielder
Jessica Osterhoudt. Â Dutchess Community College was down 15-14 in the bottom of the seventh inning when
Jessica Osterhoudt doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs. Dutchess Community College. The Falcons Varsity notched five runs in the sixth inning led by the big bats of
Julianna Barone,
Madchen Knauss, and
Lydia Uhl who each had RBIs in the inning.  Knauss led things off in the circle for Dutchess Community College and surrendered 15 runs on 15 hits over seven innings, striking out one. Dutchess Community College collected 12 hits in the game. Knauss, Kielb, and Addison Brandemarte all managed multiple hits for the Falcons. Kielb and Knauss each collected three hits to lead Dutchess to victory.
Dutchess Community College Drops Game 2 of Doubleheader to Suffolk
The Dutchess Community College Falcons were blanked in Game 2, losing to Suffolk, 10-0. Â
Madison Hadley led things off in the circle for Dutchess Community College. She went six innings, allowing ten runs on 11 hits and striking out six.Â
Julianna Barone, Knauss, and
Casey O'Brien each collected one hit to lead Dutchess.
The Falcons have advanced to the postseason and will take on Nassau in the first round of the DIII Region 15 Softball Tournament. The Tournament will be held on May 4, 2019 at Dutchess Community College starting at 11:00 AM. Come out and support the Falcons as they vie for a Region Championship.Â
