The Dutchess Community College Falcons started off their season by traveling to Rockland Community College for a matchup of non conference opponents. At the half Dutchess trailed by 12 but were able to turn it around behind a great performance from Jacob Barnett but fell short 87-85. Barnett, a Sophomore from Harlem, NY was able to put up 28 points and 11 rebounds in his first double double of the season while shooting 100% from the Free Throw line. Feeding him the ball was another Sophomore Jeremiah Williams who had a team high 8 assists to go along with 20 points and added help on the defensive side with 3 steals to lead the team. Also contributing to the closely fought game were Kai Woods with 9 points and 8 rebounds and Nashaun Johnson who had 11 Points 7 rebounds and hit 3 threes. The Falcons will travel to a tough opponent in Monroe College on Thursday November 3rd to look to bounce back after an early season loss.
