Dutchess Community College Athletics

Coach Gayle is heading into his fourth year as the Head Coach of our Men's Basketball program. He has completely turned our program around getting our squads to the playoffs in each of the last two seasons, bringing excitement back to Falcon Hall. With his eye on player development and the overall team concept, he has made Dutchess a very competitive member of Region XV.  Prior to his appointment as our Head Coach, he served as our Assistant Coach for six years. Coach Gayle has over twenty years of experience as a player winning the PSAL NYC championship with Francis Lewis HS in Queens and playing on the collegiate level at Vassar College where he was a four-year starter while scoring over 1,000 points and grabbing over 1,000 rebounds in his career. Since his playing days, Coach Gayle has moved onto coaching where he has coached at a number of AAU programs in New York City and in the Hudson Valley. He also coached at Sacred Heart Catholic school in the Bronx. Further as mentioned above, he has also served as an Assistant Coach here at Dutchess as well as at Mt. St. Vincent College in Riverdale. 

Coach Gayle holds a BA in Political Science from Vassar and a Master's degree from Fordham University in Management and Marketing. Daily, Coach Gayle manages the top Civil Rights Law Firm in the country, Emery, Celli, Brinckerhoff & Abady LLP located in midtown Manhattan.
