The Dutchess Community College Athletic Department is pleased to announce that Erika Sclafani has been hired at the New Head Coach for Women's Soccer.  Coach Sclafani began her tenure at Dutchess in 2016 as an Assistant Coach for the Men's Soccer team.  In 2017 Coach Sclafani joined the Women's Program as the Associate Head Coach and coached for two seasons.   2019 will mark Coach Sclafani's first season as Head Coach for Women's Soccer.  

"We are very excited for Coach Sclafani and the Women's Soccer Program at Dutchess Community College.  This will be the third season for the program and we are eager to continue our push towards winning a Region XV Championship.  Coach Sclafani has displayed a strong work ethic and commitment to the success of Dutchess Women's Soccer and we are very fortunate to have her step in and assume the responsibilities of Head Coach,"  remarked Matthew Paquet, Director of Athletics.

Coach Sclafani has worked in Dutchess County for over 10 years as a coach and trainer for Men's and Women's Soccer Programs for all ages.  Dutchess is also plesased to announce that Coach Sclafani has brought on long-time friend, colleague, and teammate Iris Quijano as the new assistant coach for Women's Soccer at Dutchess.       

"I've been with the team since the beginning and have now been given the opportunity to take the reins as Head Coach and could not be more excited. Each year has been a new experience and challenge. and I've loved every minute of it.  I don't remember a time where soccer wasn't a big part of my life and now I get to share my passion and experience with yet another great group of athletes," remarked Coach Sclafani.
