Box Score The DCC Men's Soccer team traveled across the river to Stone Ridge on Saturday afternoon to take on the Ulster Senators. The game was kept close well into the first half as both teams were able to keep each other of the score board. Ulster ended up finding the back of the net late in the half and then scored two more unanswered goals in rapid succession.
Although the DCC Falcons were able to gain better possession of the ball in the second half and keep their opponent scoreless, DCC was unable to find the back of the of the net in a 3-0 loss. The Falcons also had to play the final minutes of the game down a man due to a Red Card issued to mid-fielder
Muhammad Yusef for a reckless tackle.
"The Falcon men found it difficult to keep up with the speed of the Ulster strikers," said Coach Jim Purdy, "which led to the three goal deficit by the end of the first half."
The Falcons will travel to Westchester to face the Vikings Thursday September 12 where they look to get their first win of the season.
