The Dutchess Men's Soccer team began their season over the past week. They started the year with a home game against Ulster County Community College and their first away game where they traveled to Essex County Community College. The Falcons were unable to come out with a win in either game but there was good experience gained for a talented group of freshmen adapting to college soccer for the first time.  

In their defeat to Ulster, Akeem Alexander scored the Falcons first goal of the year from an assist by Michael Sambells and the team showed flashes of their potential, taking a scoreless tie into halftime.  

The second game of the season was a tough matchup against Division 2 Essex, it gave DCC a good opportunity to play into their fitness and solidify the feel of playing alongside each other. Goalkeeper Miguel Cruz was able to stop 10 shots on goal in this game and is up to 20 saves on the year.  

When asked for few words on team HeadCoach Ian Wing said, "Today we turn our attention to WCC and a conference game we have been eagerly anticipating." the Falcons take on Westchester at 4pm at WCC on Thursday 9/14 and then Suffolk for another Conference game on 9/16
