The Dutchess Women's Basketball Team faced off against Queensborough and #10 Monroe Bronx during this past week, taking down Queensborogh and falling the to nationally ranked Monroe Bronx.
In their first game of the week Dutchess was able to take down Queensborough by a score of 74-48, Sophomore
Eva Bertiz was able to produce her second 20 point 20 rebound game of the season, she finished with 21 points and 20 rebounds. Freshman
Kamira Sutton had her highest scoring game of the season, scoring 22 points while grabbing 7 rebounds and dishing out 4 assists. Freshman
Amelia Turner and
Angelina Nesheiwat both added their second double digit rebounding performances of the season while Sophomore
Katrina Carmel scored 8 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and led the team with 5 assists.
On Saturday, Dutchess went on the road to take on the #10 team in the country, Monroe Bronx. Dutchess fell by a score of 67-44. The Falcons were led by Sophomore
Eva Bertiz who added her 6th straight double double of the season, finishing with 19 points and 15 rebounds. Freshman
Kamira Sutton scored 14 points and added 6 rebounds. Freshman
Amelia Turner and Sophomore
Katrina Carmel were active on the glass, Turner finished with 11 rebounds while Carmel finished with 8.
Dutchess will host Bronx in their next game at 6pm on Tuesday November 25th at Falcon Hall on the Dutchess Community College campus.
