Men's Basketball Takes Down Bronx, Fall In Following Two Games

| Box Score 2     The DCC Women's Basketball Team fell to Bronx CC by a score of 71-51 on 11/25. Freshman Kamira Sutton led the team in scoring with 19 points, shooting 60% from 3. Freshman Amelia Turner scored 15 points and Sophomore Eva Bertiz grabbed a game high 20 rebounds. The Falcons had the past week off and will return to play on 12/11 when they host Laguardia CC at 7pm.

    The DCC Men's Basketball Team took on Bronx CC cpming away with a 120-47 win. Sophomore Supreme Niles led the way with 19 points and 4 steals. Sohpomore Josiah Salmon picked up with 4th double-double of the season, he finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Salmon was disruptive on the defensive end as well, blocking 4 shots and grabbing 3 steals. Off the bench Sophomore Daniel Ogunleye and Freshman Tyray Spencer both added double digit scoring performances. Ogunleye scored 15 points and Spencer added 10 of his own. Sophomores Elijah Cherry and Jadyn Wilson rounded out the 6 Falcons with double digit points, Cherry with 11 and Wilson with 10. Dutchess finished with 17 different players scoring points.
    
    After the Thanksgiving break, Dutchess returned to face off against D2 Rockland CC. The Falcons were able to take away a 4 point halftime deficit to force OT but fell by a score of 94-88. Sophomore Josiah Salmon put up the highest scoring performance by a Falcon this season, he scored 29 points and also grabbed 13 rebounds for his 5th double-double of the season. Sophomore Supreme Niles led the team with 6 assists while scoring the second most points on the team with 15 and grabbing the second most rebounds with 8. Sophomore Daniel Ogunleye scored 10 points, the trio of Salmon, Niles and Ogunleye all finished with 5 steals. Sophomores Elijah Chery and Nouhoun Diarra provided off the bench, Cherry scored 11 points and grabbed 5 rebounds while Diarra Scored 7 points, grabbed 5 boards and dished out 4 assists.

    The Falcons next match up was a road trip to Nassau CC, Dutchess was unable to get their game going and fell by a score of 69-55. Freshman Jordin Walker came off the bench and led the team in scoring and steals, finishing with 11 points and 3 steals. Sophomores Jadyn Wilson and Josiah Salmon both finished with 10 points and 8 rebounds while Wilson added 3 blocks. Sophomore Supreme Niles led the team with 5 assists. 

The DCC Men's Basketball Team will return to play on 12/9 when they host Sullivan Community College at 7pm. The Falcons will also host Bristol CC on 12/11 at 5pm, the Women will take on Laguardia after the Men's game.
