Box Score POUGHKEEPSIE, NY - The Dutchess women's basketball team rallied in the fourth quarter but ultimately fell to Bronx Community College on Thursday in their home opener, 56-50. The women's record now stands at 1-3 on the young season.

The Falcons trailed at the half by 16 points but outscored the Broncos in both the third and fourth quarters to cut the lead to small as 4 points. Sophomore Kiana Nichols led the charge with 20 points while freshman center Virginia Wheatley finished with a strong 14 points. The team's ulrimate downfall in this one were turnovers. A total of 31 turnovers ended up being too tough to overcome in the end for the Falcons.

The women play this Sunday at home against LaGuardia Community College at noon in Falcon Hall.
