Box Score POUGHKEEPSIE, NY - Dutchess Community College were victorious against Hudson Valley CC 59-52 on Thursday with the help of Kiana Nichols, who scored 18 points. Olivia Malles helped DCC take the lead for good with a two-pointer in the third quarter.

Dutchess trailed early, 29-28 by the half, only to come back strong in the final two quarters. Nichols led the Falcons' offense, going 5-for-9 (56%) from the field while also sinking 73% (8-for-11) of free throws attempted. Elizabeth Rolleri notched four three-pointers and scored 17 points total.

Two other players also added ten or more points for Dutchess. Virginia Wheatley had 14 points. Also helping the effort for the Falcons were Catherine McCutcheon (4 points, 5 rebounds) and Malles (4 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals). Wheatley was a big defensive contributor as well, racking up nine rebounds and one steal. Dutchess finished the game with 38 rebounds (13 offensive / 25 defensive) and seven steals.

The women play their next contest on Saturday, December 3rd at home against Hostos Community College.
