Men's Basketball Honor Sophomores, Lose Final Game to Nassau

Box Score POUGHKEEPSIE, NY - Dutchess men's basketball honored their sophomores before their final home game in Falcon Hall on Thursday, but ultimately fell to Nassau on 104-71.

Sophomore guard Jaquan Strong made his final game at DCC count by racking up 27 points on 40% shooting (8-for-20) and making 100% (8-for-8) of free throws attempted. Fellow sophomore David Flores tapped out at double digits, scoring 11 points for the Falcons (4-for-12). While James Sykes (6 points, 4 rebounds) and Davante Brown (3 points, 1 rebound) rounded things out for Dutchess' second year men.

Also chipping in for DCC were Beau-Ryan Kershaw who hit two three-pointers and scored nine points total, Lawrence Odusanya (9 points, 3 rebounds, 2 blocks), Harry St. John (3 points, 1 rebound), and Christopher Spell (3 points, 1 rebound). 

The men's team will finish the season with a record of 7-22, a six win improvement from last year.

The Dutchess Athletic Department would like to thank the four young men, Jaquan Strong, David Flores, James Sykes, and Davante Brown, for their contributions on and off the court during their time at Dutchess Community College and wish them the best of luck moving forward.
