    The 2025-26 Men's Basketball team finished off their season as Region XV back to back champions and at the National Tournament. The Falcons won 26 games for the second season in a row, allowing the 5th least points per game in the country (66.0) and scoring the 15th most points per game (84.2). Defense was the biggest key to the teams success, as a team Dutchess ranked 2nd in blocks per game and 3rd in steals per game in the country. As a team they had over 10 steals in 25 of their 32 games and 6+ blocks in 23 of 32 games. The Falcons for the second straight year have been ranked for the entirety of the season, they reach a high of #5 and were the #7 overall seed in the National Tournament. On November 25th, DCC scored 120 points against Bronx, the highest total in the last 10 years for a DCC team. Coach Rob Piano won his 100th career game against Sullivan CC February 14th. 

    The Falcons' leading scorer throughout the season was All-Region XV First Team and All-Tournament Team member Supreme Niles, who finished the season averaging 14.7 points. In the Region XV Semifinal, Niles took over and went 5-8 from 3, scored 25 points and dished out 5 assists. leading the game team in all 3 categories. The Sophomore had a season high 26 points in a win over Monroe Bronx, 6 games with 3+ threes, 8 steals vs Sullivan. Niles was also named as a November 2025 Region XV D3 Men's Basketball Athlete of the Month Honorable Mention. 

    Sophomore Josiah Salmon was named to the All-Region XV Second Team, ending the season averaging 11.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 1.7 steals. Salmon had his best outing taking on Division 2 Rockland scoring 29 points, grabbing 13 rebounds and 5 steals all career highs. In his 2 seasons playing for DCC, Salmon finishes as the #2 rebounder (320) and shot blocker (100) since 2000. The Sophomore this season was also named as a December 2025 Region XV D3 Men's Basketball Athlete of the Month Honorable Mention.

    The final Falcon named to an All-Region XV team is Sophomore Jadyn Wilson who named to the Honorable Mention team. Wilson led the team in rebounds per game grabbing 6.7 of them while scoring 8 points a game and blocking 2 shots. Wilson provided his best performance against Suffolk he scored a career high 29 points to go along with 13 rebounds in the win. Wilson joins Salmon in the block rankings at DCC since 2000, he blocked 69 shots in his time as a Falcon, the third highest mark. After a big month, Wilson was named January 2026 Region XV D3 Men's Basketball Athlete of the Month.

    The Tournament MVP for the Falcons Region XV Title was Freshman Kameron Quinn, he averaged 17 points over the Region XV Tournament while shooting 76% from the field. In the Semifinal Quinn scored 17 of his 20 points in the second half and also had 5 assists while in the Final he scored 19 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and 4 steals. 

    To go along with Niles, Salmon, and Wilson, the Falcons had 6 other players play in their final game for DCC. Daniel Ogunleye and Nouhoun Diarra both played in 56 games, tied for the second highest mark over the past 25 seasons. Both players played key parts in becoming 2x Region XV Champions. In the 2025 Region XV tournament, Ogunleye scored 14 points in the first round vs Suffolk and had 6 assists in the semifinal vs Kingsborough. This season he scored 13 points in the Championship game to clinch the title. Diarra in the 2025 Region XV Championship game scored 13 points and went 3/5 from 3 with 3 steals to beat Monroe Bronx. In the 2026 Tournament Quarterfinal, Diarra scored a team high 12 points in their win over Laguardia. Remmiel Simon had a career game in the 2025 Region XV Semifinal scoring 13 points while going 3/5 from 3 and grabbing 2 steals. Darrel Taylor scored 20 points going 3/5 from 3 in his first career game as a Falcon, in his sophomore season he scored 20 points in a win over Division 2 Westchester. Sophomore Elijah Cherry finished the year with 9 double digit scoring performances and 2nd on team in 3 pointers made. Elijah Williams is a 2x Region XV Champion and scored his career high against Suffolk his Freshman season. 

    Key Freshman who played big parts in the 2025-26 season, Jordin Walker who averaged 8.3 points per game, showed out in the National Tournament. Walker scored 12 points in the 1st game of the tournament on 80% shooting, in the final game of hte season he scored 23 points on 9/13 from the floor while knocking down 2 of his 3 3 point attempts. Aston Lewis joined the starting rotation in Feburary and help guide the offense to many wins, in a win over Hostos, Lewis scored scored 12 points and dished out 6 assists. Shawn Jones provided rebounding and shot blocking off the bench, his best performance came in a win over Nassau, he scored 13 points while grabbing 14 rebounds.

To the players moving on the Athletic Department would like to thank them for their time, effort and sacrifices that were made for the program and hope to see them all do well in their future endeavors.
