Box Score NEW ROCHELLE, NY – The SUNY Dutchess women's soccer team defeated Monroe College 7-0 on Wednesday. The Falcons record is 3-0-0.
Jenna DiMarzo scored her first goal of the season two minutes into play. Goals also came from Lauryn Aloia (1), Elizabeth Rolleri (2), and Lauren Regan (3). Sara Chang played strong in several different positions and set up two goals. Taylor Peters played a great match as she anchored the defense for 90 minutes.
"Our team has learned how to work together really well. This has allowed us to create a family, which is shown more and more during every match we play. We step on the field together and we step off together," Taylor Peters said.
Karen Rothdeutsch added, "Even though we had a game three days prior to this one, and only one practice in between, we still came out strong and persevered to earn the win. I'm proud of how much the team has grown in only three games and I can't wait to show what else we have to offer in the future. We are truly becoming a family and I couldn't ask for a more wonderful and supportive team."
STAT OF THE GAME: Five different players have scored for the Falcons already this season.
