Box Score Dutchess Women's Basketball fell hard to Sullivan CC at home on Thursday, 75-38, despite
Azuzena Santiago putting 18 points on the scoreboard. DCC lost steam early, as they trailed 34-19 by the half after scoring a game-high 15 points during the second quarter.
It was all Sullivan from there on out, as they outscored the Falcons 25-7 in the closing quarter.
Santiago led the Dutchess offense, going 7-for-18 (39%) from the field. Virginia Wheatly made it into double digits, scoring 10 points for the Falcons (4-for-10) and tallying 7 rebounds. Also contributing for Dutchess were Taylor Scarpelli (6 points, 4 rebounds),
Rose Spuhler (2 points, 5 rebounds), and
Azzelea McLeish (2 points, 2 rebounds, 1 steal).
Sullivan shot 57% as a team, far more efficiently than Dutchess' 35% from the field. The Generals played a very smart game only committing 9 turnovers compared to the Falcons' 22.
