9/12/2018 3:30:00 PM

Poughkeepsie, New York-The Falcons fell in non-conference action 8-0 to Hudson Valley Community College. The NJCAA September 5 Top 10 poll listed Hudson Valley among the best teams nationally. With the loss, the Dutchess Women's Soccer team record is 0-1-0 (0-0-0). The Falcons return on Saturday, September 8 against Suffolk Community College. The game will kick off at 1 pm at Suffolk Community College. "We quickly understood how each other played in a competitive environment. Our coaches prepared us during preseason for our upcoming intense matches and still are currently. I look forward to seeing how the team progresses over the season and plan to exceed expectations," Kelsie McDowell said. Lauryn Aloia added, "It was our very first game of the season with new players and a brand new goal we all wanted to achieve by the end of the season. We all want to motivate each other to take the chances they thought they couldn't take and stand behind them. We came out ready and excited and never gave up, never stopped until we heard the whistle. I'm ready to see what the new season brings for our new family."
