Box Score 3 The Dutchess Women's Basketball team faced off against Hostos for their first game of the week, in what was a back and forth game the Falcons fell by a score of 47-42. Sophomore
Eva Bertiz led the team with 23 points and 20 rebounds, the most rebounds over the last 10 years for a Falcon. Sophomore
Melody Sanchez scored 7 points, grabbed 7 rebounds while leading the team with 4 steals and 3 assists. Freshman
Angelina Nesheiwat grabbed 10 rebounds.
In their second game of the week Dutchess took on Borough of Manhattan. The Falcons earned their first win of the season and their largest win over the last 5 years. Dutchess took down BMCC 87-43 with Sophomore
Eva Bertiz scoring the second most points in a game by a Falcon over the last 10 years. She finished with 38 points while grabbing 11 rebounds, dishing out 6 assists, grabbing 3 steals and blocking 3 shots. Freshman
Amelia Turner notched her first double double of the season scoring 18 points and grabbing a team high 16 rebounds, Sophomore
Melody Sanchez scored 13 points and led the team with 4 steals.
Dutchess fell to Kingsborough 82-29 in their final game of the week.
Eva Bertiz and
Amelia Turner both scored double digit points in the loss, Bertiz finished with 15, Turner finished with 10.
The Falcons will take on Queensborough in their next matchup on November 20th, the game will be at Falcon Hall on the DCC campus and start at 5:30pm.
