Women’s Volleyball Loses A Close Match Against Westchester

DCC put up a good fight against the Westchester Community College Vikings, but ended up falling short. The matched ended in a 3-1 victory for the Vikings, but all of the sets were relatively close and the Falcons were in it throughout the match. 

Winnie Carabin led the team with 12 kills, 18 digs and 15 points. Emily Aldrich recorded four service aces, along with 15 digs. Riess Lovett also had a big day on the court picking up 16 digs, while Nadya Krueger had 15 assists playing as a setter for the first time. 

"We tried a simpler approach to the game that seemed to work better," said Coach Frank Sanfilippo.

The team looks to get their first win of the season when they travel to Sullivan Community College on Tuesday September 17 for a 7 p.m. match.
