The Dutchess Women's Basketball team started their regular season on the road at Sussex Community College. The Falcons went into the half with a 25-11 lead but were unable to hold on, when the buzzer sounded at the end of the 4th quarter the score was tied 52-52. In overtime, DCC fell by a score of 61-57. The Falcons leading scorer was
Avion Pugh with 14 points,
Kamira Sutton added 13 points of her own, and
Eva Bertiz finished with 10 points 5 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Melody Sanchez and
Amelia Turner both added 9 points, Sanchez also added 3 steals.
The Falcons will travel to Suffolk on Thursday 11/6/25 for their second regular season game. Their first home game of the season will be on Tuesday November 11th when DCC takes on Hostos at 6:00pm.
